As of today, Obamacare isn’t the most popular government program in the nation. To say the least.

But what have the Republicans proposed? Correct me if I’m wrong but… nothing. Except to cut Medicare, mandate that women have less and less access to contraception, and make sure that women who want an abortion receive a medically-useless transvaginal ultrasound.

I believe that our healthcare needs to be overhauled. Too many people in our county are getting sick and dying from treatable illnesses or drowning in debt to stay alive. And while this is occurring, our Supreme Court is comparing healthcare to broccoli. Are you kidding me?

How about comparing it to how we are all subject to buying car insurance? How is that Constitutional but Obamacare supposedly is not?

I honestly don’t understand people’s hatred for this legislation. I definitely don’t understand people’s hatred for our President.

Thoughts?

I am here to declare that I am a liberal.

I am a young white male who lives in Georgia and, yes, I am liberal. Not only a democrat but a liberal.

I started this blog to declare this.

I am fed up with radical, right-wing conservatives all over the media, especially on FOX News and talk radio. Unfortunately, their shows draw attention and followers. That’s why they continue to dominate the conversation. However, I have always been taught to think for myself. And I have.

I have come to the conclusion that these hosts harbor division, delay social progress and, ultimately, hinder the United States of America.

Don’t let them fool you. I’m not a socialist. I am a liberal who loves this country. But I also realize that it needs to work for more than just the 1%. Although I am not a part of the “Occupy” Movement, I do believe that Americans need to restack the deck to benefit the majority of us.

Moving toward the next presidential election, conservatives will try to convince you that Obama has done nothing but run up the national debt. This is false.

This blog is to invite you to take a look at Obama and compare him to any of the candidates running for the Republican bid. In my opinion, the choice is clear.

I have been following the Trayvon Martin case fairly closely. In the past 24 hours, the right-wing media has turned this tragedy into an excuse to demean African-Americans.

They interviewed a friend of Trayvon’s killer and he said that the audio does not say “fucking coon.” Instead, he believes it says “goon” and explains that “goon” is used as a “term of endearment” in high school nowadays. Are you kidding me??

Since when is a “fucking” following by a “term of endearment”?

Oh, and did you see the picture of Trayvon being portrayed as a thug flipping off the camera? The right-wing media jumped all over that too. Turns out, it wasn’t even a picture of Trayvon. And even if it was, does that give someone the right to shoot him dead for no reason? I think not.

Tell me what you think. I am outraged by these developments. I’ll keep you posted.
